For this activity, we were given the task of creating a CD cover for the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra, titled 'Global Music'. The design brief in this task called for the CD to show six face images, with a colour theme that would suit the 'look and feel' of the CD. This activity was the be created using Adobe Indesign.Overall, I am not happy with my final design, I feel as though the colours clash too much for my liking and the music note overlay makes the design look too busy in the lower half of the cover. I wish I would have stuck to the original thumbnail from the client more, and maybe picked a different colour scheme. I also don't like the fact that the images used are not my own, I simply sourced them from Google as I was not able to take my own images.
Maybe I'm just being too picky about the overall design, but there are definitely things I would like to improve on next time.
Also: I really do not like using Indesign, the tools are annoying and it bugs me. Illustrator all the way!
